Measuring impact

Based on the Journal Citation Reports, the Central Medical Library has made overviews of the Q1 journals (top 25%) per subject category . These overviews are only available to University & UMCG staff:

Discount for authors

Dutch university libraries have reached agreements with academic publishers about publishing open access, so corresponding authors of Dutch universities and academic hospitals can publish in open access for free or with a substantial discount.

Cite literature

How to collect, organize, annotate and cite research publications? Use RefWorks or Mendeley:

Vancouver style

Vancouver style is a common style for the format / the layout of publications, for instance citations and references. Many journals follow the Vancouver style, but with small changes.

Green Open Access: make your article freely available via Pure

Researchers from the UMCG and University Groningen, are obliged to add their articles to Pure.
