De Yntegrearre Wittenskiplike Taaldatabank fan it Frysk bevat tekstmateriaal in het Fries, uit de periode van ca. 1200 tot 1900.
Op termijn zal de taaldatabank alle Friese teksten uit de periode tussen het begin van de Friese overlevering (ca. 1200) tot aan 1900 bevatten, en tevens een groot deel van de periode na 1900.

De taaldatabank is bedoeld als instrument foor taalkundig en lexicologisch onderzoek, maar ook filosofische en (literuur-, rechts-)historisch onderzoek.
Alle teksten in de taaldatabank zijn verrijkt met informatie, zoals trefwoorden, informatie over de teksten, secundaire literatuur en vertalingen van Oud Friese teksten (1200-1550).

Every speech file has been subdivided into utterances which are linked to speakers. Linguistic speaker data include: the speaker's dialect as spoken on the audio, the dialect that the speaker speaks at home and the dialect that the speaker speaks at work. Non-linguistic speaker data include: gender, birthyear, education and profession.
