Introduction
In this chapter an overview of important electronic and printed historical sources for Socio-economic History is presented. The University Library of Groningen owns a collection of printed sources held in the closed stacks or on the open shelves in the reading rooms. Another part of the collection of historical sources is available online.

- Reeks Broncommentaren This link opens in a new windowThe aim of the Broncommentaren series is to extend the knowledge of sources important to Dutch history and to further source criticism. There lays a special emphasis on serial source material which can be found in many archives and which shows a certain similarity and complexity. Many sources about all aspects and periods of Dutch history from the Middle Ages onwards are potentially suitable for publication in this series. The commentaries are clustered by theme or topic. By way of this clustering it is possible to commentary the selected sources in context.
