Thesis help - Orientation on your topic
Check the chapter on Subject orientation.
Submitting your thesis
Check with your thesis supervisor about the rules for submitting your thesis. After your thesis has been approved you have to upload it to the thesis repository of the RUG.
Uploading your thesis
Check with your supervisor about how to upload your thesis to the repository. Each faculty has their own thesis repository and rules for uploading theses.
Open Access
By uploading your thesis to the thesis repository you have made it freely and openly available (unless you have indicated that you want the contents to be hidden). This means you have published your thesis in Open Access.

Research data management
While you were writing your thesis you probably used or generated research data: data that is collected, observed, or created, for purposes of analysis to produce original research results.
Examples of research data:
- Text or Word documents, spreadsheets
- Laboratory notebooks, field notebooks, diaries
- Questionnaires, transcripts, codebooks
- Models, algorithms, scripts
