Tools for creating OER

On this page, you will find a list of of different open or free tools that you can use to create open Educational Resources (OER). OER can be created in a host of different programs, but these are just suggestions for tools that can be used for more specialized forms of OER. Please note that these tools are not formally endorsed by the University of Groningen, and we highly recommend looking into them on your own before downloading or otherwise engaging with them.

**There are some questions regarding Audacity's handling of personal data, with some people fearing that it may be harmful software. No conclusive evidence for these claims exist, but you may wish to use alternative software for audio editing.

***OBS is widely used, and relatively simple to use software. As such, the AV services also generally advises the use of OBS for creating your own videos at home.
