Adding research output

Research Output is pro-actively imported into Pure by the Pure team of the Medical Library. We do this by importing from the citation database Scopus.  Not all publications and journals are indexed in Scopus, so if you are missing publications in Pure, you can either let us know (pure@umcg.nl) or add the publication yourself.

If a publication is available in a database to which Pure has access, such as Pubmed or Scopus, you can import it directly from the database into Pure:

  1. Click the blue ‘Add content’ button at the top right.
  2. At 'Research output' click ‘Import from online source’.
  3. You can just import the publication and click ‘Save’ right away. The Pure team will always check and validate all publications added to Pure.

If the above does not apply, then you can add the data manually:

  1. Click the blue ‘Add content’ button at the top right.
  2. At 'Research output' click ‘Create from template’ and select the appropriate template.
  3. Fill in, at least, all the fields marked with a red asterisk.
  4. Click the ‘Save’ button at the bottom of the page.
