EndNote has teamed up with Retraction Watch to flag retracted articles in your EndNote Library. This feature only works from version EndNote 20.2 and later. You need to have EndNote synchronisation enabled for this retraction watch to work. You can set up EndNote synchronisation by going to  Edit > Preferences > Sync.  There you can either log in with your existing EndNote account or click 'Enable sync' and then 'Sign up' to make an EndNote account.

EndNote will check for retractions when:

• A library is opened
• A reference is added
• A reference is edited

Retractions are identified by DOI or PubMed ID.
