There is an agreement with the European Respiratory Society to publish open access without costs in the European Respiratory Journal.Publication types that are part of the deal: all article types, EXCLUDING editorials, official ERS documents or articles which ERS is prevented from publishing open access by another rightsholder.

How does it work:

• Corresponding authors must use their institutional email address during submission. This email address is issued by one of the participating institutions OR whose affiliation has been recognised by ScholarOne Manuscripts as belonging to one of those institutions. If there is a yellow alert symbol next to the institution in your account details, it has not been recognised.
• The article must be accepted between 1 January 2024 and 31 December, 2024
