How does it work?

• Your BMC/SpringerOpen Membership is setup with recognition. To be recognized as a member and receive a discount, always use your UMCG/UG email address!
• You will be asked that you confirm that you would like to use your BMC/SpringerOpen Membership account. This drop-down menu is only displayed on a UMCG or RUG computer.
• Select the University of Groningen, NOT the UMCG.
  Note: You don't have to enter a code when submitting your manuscript, just select the UMCG in the drop-down menu.

If this not occurs, and/or when you are submitting from outside your institution, please follow these instructions: 

You will need to submit a request for the discount to be approved.
1. Click 'I believe that I am covered by a BMC/ SpringerOpen Membership Account and wish to request institutional payment or discount (as applicable).’
2. Select your institution from the dropdown list. Select the University of Groningen, NOT the UMCG.
3. Submit your manuscript.
4. Our Customer Services team will contact the administrator of your institutional membership to verify your affiliation.
